World’s luckiest girl lives in Houston
Published: August 27, 2007
Alexa was born on July 7, 2000. She weighed seven pounds, seven ounces, hitting the triple-7 equivalent of a birthday jackpot.
“Ever since that day, she has been the luckiest child I’ve ever met,” said Susan Zarzour, Alexa’s mother.
Lucky? You bet. Whenever little Alexa wants something, she wins it.
“She’s won a motorcycle. She wins huge prizes at the school raffle,” said Susan. “Whatever the biggest prize is, she’ll win.”
And as lucky as she feels, it’s not always easy for big brother, Connor, who mom says comes in second a lot.
“When she wins stuff, I try to sneak it out into my room and put it back,” said Connor.
“It’s nice to have a lucky sister though, right?” asked his mother.
“Yeah, it’s pretty fun.”
So why is Alexa so lucky? She doesn’t look very far to see the obvious answer.
“Just me,” she told us. “I don’t do anything.”
Saturday is Alexa’s seventh birthday. It falls on July 7, 2007. Her mom says she never plays the lottery. Well, almost never.
“I’m gonna buy lottery tickets and let her pick the numbers,” said Susan.
And if they win, it won’t just be Alexa who’ll be in seventh heaven. With the winnings. Maybe Connor could buy a little luck, too.
As for all of her winnings, Alexa says she plans on keeping them so that she can share them with her children when she has them, which I guess means someday she’ll be lucky in love.
