Glenn Goodlove of San Diego was reunited with his wallet five decades after he lost it in the backseat of a 1946 Hudson.
Funny thing was, it was there in the car all the time.
Goodlove was a young sailor in Washington state in 1952 when he lost the wallet. It slipped beneath the back seat.
Fifty-five years later, a couple of Idaho car buffs who were restoring the car found the wallet.
Inside, they found $10, a Washington state drivers license, and receipts for jewelry purchases.
The pair located Goodlove over the Internet at his home in San Diego.
And just what was Goodlove doing in the backseat of the car when he lost his billfold?
Well, he’s not a 100 percent sure, but said he believes he was probably smooching a girl.
Otherwise, he said, what would he have been doing in the backseat?
