Dog Hailed As Easter Holiday Hero

Published: April 24, 2007

A dog is getting credit for saving one area family’s Easter holiday.

A bunny belonging to Leah Huhn’s family had slipped out of their Green Township home for several hours Saturday Night prompting some to think it was gone for good.

Even a frantic search couldn’t turn the rabbit up until huhn went to her 4-legged friend for help–her Yellow Lab whose name is Hannah.

“I went upstairs and got my dog Hannah and brought her outside and told her to find the bunny. Within 30 seconds she got a scent, ran to the front yard, and my dad shined the flashlight, and she was standing right over the rabbit,” Huhn said.

Hannah spent Sunday night reveling in her new-found attention and certainly didn’t seem to mind the glare of the 9News camera in her face.
