Ontario boy survives horrific fall
Published: April 10, 2007
A bit of good news. A five year-old Hamilton, Ontario boy survived a horrific nine story plunge claims the Hamilton Spectator.
The impression from the impact was so severe it left a deep, visible imprint in the damp lawn after the boy’s fall from the ninth floor of the family’s apartment.
The Spectator reports that the young boy was “crying, but lucid and talking,” and witnesses said his mother “scooped her young son from the soggy back lawn he’d landed on and ran down Jackson St. screaming ‘Help me, help me!’ in Korean.”
The distraught mother raced her son to a local convenience store where paramedics were called. The Spectator reports the child’s injuries were moderate.
The Spectator reports the Hamilton Police Child Abuse branch has been brought in to investigate why the incident occured. The parents are said to be cooperating fully, police said.
