Naturally Seven subway attack mellows many

Published: March 1, 2007

New York. The subway.

Seven young man get in and occupy 8 benches.

People stand around, some staring into space, some listening to their MP3 players, when suddenly one of the men starts to make chopping moves with his hands … and sings.

Naturally Seven does a cappella like no other band and uses no instruments.

Their entire music, from the rhythms to the beats, from the bass to the keyboard effects, is created by their incredible voices or by their bodies. The tambourine sound, for example, is done by scratching the skin…

Their soul voices tear at your heart, make you jump for you, while their faith-infused sound is as unique as their intent:

“Most moving is when people find an honesty and spirit in the music. When they are touched right there.

We’re all about hope. It’s spirit, music and entertainment. We want to give you something you remember, that makes you smile and even do the right thing.
– Roger Thomas; founder, arranger and musical director

Naturally Seven have broken through and have recently toured Europe.

They have released six albums, the last being Ready II Fly which features “Feel It (In The Air Tonight)“, the song they performed in the New York subway.

Naturally Seven are: Roger Thomas, Dwight Stewart, Garfield Buckley, Rod Eldridge, Warren Thomas, Marcus Davis and Jamal Reed.
