Subway Hero Invited Back To White House

Wesley Autrey, the 50-year-old construction worker who achieved nationwide fame when he rescued a man who had fallen off a subway platform, continues to receive recognition.
Autrey was honored yesterday by President Bush alongside other prominent black sports, cultural and political figures.
He was invited back to the White House to help celebrate African-American History Month.
Other White House honorees included baseball great Jim “Mudcat” Grant and Representative Charles Rangel.
