A seven-year-old girl and her father, who were suffering from severe seasickness, were taken ashore by a Minehead lifeboat crew.
The lifeboat was diverted from a training exercise on Sunday morning following a distress call from the skipper of Minehead-based fishing boat Fulmar, Steve Pilbrow.
Minehead’s Atlantic 75, under the command of volunteer helmsman Andrew Escott, was on a routine training exercise in Minehead Bay and was quickly on scene.

The girl and her father, 39, who were visiting the area from Newent, Gloucester, were returned to Minehead they were both assessed by the crew.
Andrew Escott said: “The skipper of the Fulmar did exactly the right thing.
“Seasickness can be extremely uncomfortable for the victim and the best course of action is to return them to dry land.
“Once back at the station the pair seemed none the worse for their ordeal, and no medical attention was necessary.”
