Couple reunited with cat

OVERJOYED James Harvard is reunited with his beloved cat Ashley after she vanished when a digger maniac demolished their house.
James and partner Janice Gledhill feared pedigree Ashley had scarpered in terror when their home was reduced to rubble in a money row.
But the seven-year-old pet was yesterday spotted in the wreckage of the timber-framed house at the entrance to their holiday park — and coaxed down by James.
Ashley was one of SIX cats inside the home when it was reduced to rubble and splinters early Tuesday.
James, 47, said: “We are elated. She returned to where she used to sleep.” Janice, 52, said: “It’s fantastic.”
The couple’s two luxury Chrysler cars — worth £80,000 — were also crushed at their Eastlands Meadows site at Bradwell-on-Sea, Essex. The digger driver allegedly flipped after being asked for £1,000 in back rent for a caravan on the premises.
Robert Taylor, 52, of no fixed address, will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today charged with criminal damage, intent to endanger life and assaulting a police officer.
