Many people plan weddings for late spring and early summer. Weddings can be expensive, but if you plan wisely, you can make it happen for much less.

Angel Dunivan and Mark Jaquays planned their Wrightsville Beach wedding on a budget. The ceremony was held in the sand to save on the cost of location. The couple rented a beach house for the occasion and their guests helped out with the cost.

Dunivan also saved money on a wedding dress. Several stores sell gowns at a discount becuase they need the space in the shop. Angel and Mark’s wedding planner says the best advice for saving money is to decide on a budget and stick with it.

The average wedding today costs around $30,000. For a third of that price, Angel and Bark had their dream wedding on the beach.
