Showing shear selflessness

The first thing you noticed was that the moms were a lot more freaked out than the girls.
And it was the girls saying goodbye to their long hair. Most of them for the first time ever.
Nine girls and one mom from the Rancho Solano School in Scottsdale decided to cut their hair this past week and donate it to Locks of Love.
Locks of Love uses donated hair to provide wigs to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Most of these kids are battling cancer. Others are burn victims or have lost their hair because of other conditions.
Three stylists from Canyon Falls Spa & Salon in Scottsdale did the cutting. Because Locks of Love needs the hair to come in at least 10 inches long and of uniform length, the cuts were a little severe at first. But the salon will allow the girls to come in for a free visit to smooth some of the edges.
