Stolen Jewelry Returned

Published: May 23, 2006

Hancock City Police have a bit of a mystery on their hands. The $14,000 in jewelry that was stolen from Miller’s Jewelry last week was returned over the weekend.

“Around 10 a.m. on Saturday, two of the kids–I call them kids–they returned the ring,” said store owner Mike Shanahan.

He was referring to a $12,000 diamond ring that was stolen. Four other less valuable rings were also returned.

Hancock Police have made no arrests yet, but they continue to investigate.
