My mother is my guardian angel
Published: May 10, 2006
Recently, NOW! asked its young readers to share their feelings about their mothers, either through letters or artwork. Here are some of our favorites. y mother is my guardian angel. I feel protected when she’s around me. My mom makes me hot cocoa whenever I get sick. She wraps me with warm kisses and tight hugs. Also when my mother is sick, I like to be there for her. I think I make her feel better by giving her some medicine and breakfast in bed. My mom is my angel, and when she needs my help I am willing to help her because I am blessed with such a loving mother. I love my mother.

Dear Mom,
You are the one who takes me to all of my sports games. You stand in the crowd no matter what the weather is. You cheer me on louder than anyone.
You are the one who cares for me when I get hurt or sick. You always help me feel better. You are the one who helps me with my piano songs and helps me learn the notes better.
You help me up when I am down emotionally and physically.
I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you.

Why My Mom is So Great
My Mom is so great because she cleans my room a lot and she takes care of me when I’m sick. She makes my whole family dinner each night. Let me put it this way — she’s Super Mom!

My Aunt Connie is the best person in my life. I’ve lived with my aunt for eight years, and she has been there for me basically my whole life. I think she is the best aunt ever. I appreciate the nice and good things she has done for me. I’m glad my aunt let me live with her. I am so happy I live with my aunt. I love my aunt more than anything in the whole world. That’s why I appreciate my aunt the most. My aunt means the world to me.

Our Mom is the Best!
Our Mom is completely awesome! She does tons of things for us all the time. Mom stays at home so we can be home-schooled. We all prefer being home-schooled, so we like the fact that she does that for us. Although it would be much easier for her if she just sent us all off to public school every day. Whenever any of us has any problems with studies, she helps us understand and get through them easier. She always encourages us in what we do.
Also, our mom maintains the house most of the time. She usually takes care of most of the bills. She is also the one who gets most of the shopping done. Mom gets us really nice treats on occasion. She cleans the house a lot and does the laundry. Sometimes our dad’s Army equipment tends to make big messes, but she still tolerates all of the stuff he leaves lying around. Mom also loves our dad very much. She cooks dinner most of the time, which can be very tasty.
Our Mom does a lot of other stuff, too! For example, whenever any of us participate in sports, she makes sure we get to our games and practices on time. We have a cat and a dog, which she makes sure are always healthy. She cheers us up when we’re sad or sick. She takes us to our friends’ houses and other places like Grandma’s house, which is usually very fun. Also, since we’ll be moving to California in a few months, we have a lot to do around the house. Well, Mom is usually the one who’s painting, since we have a lot of painting to do before we move.
Mom also does fun stuff with us. She gets us kites and takes us places where we try to fly them. Mom plays games with us and spends a lot of time with us. Sometimes, Mom even lets us get away with playing instead of doing chores. She says she really likes seeing us have fun and would rather have that than making us do chores. Our mom is like a Super Mom who does tons of awesome things. Our Mom is the BEST, and we all love her TONS and TONS and TONS!

My mom is very special because she loves me and takes care of me. She is a very loving person, and I love how she laughs. My mom is cool. She has a style. She looks like she’s 18 or 20 years old. If you meet her you would think she is cool, nice, funny and fun to go shopping with. She is good at shopping. But from my heart I love her very, very, very much! And why? Because she’s my mother. She’s a very great person. And one thing about her smile, it’s nice! My mom is the best mom in the whole world. When I was very sick she took care of me no matter what happened. She missed four days of work to be with me and to make sure I was OK! My mom would do anything to be with me!

My Loving Mother My mother is special because she feeds me, plays with me and is always there for me. She always says she loves me when I go to bed. She’s trustworthy, and she listens when I have something to say. When I’m really sad, my mom can cheer me up. There’s one thing I know for sure — my mom is No. 1.

I Love My Mom
My mom is special to me in many ways. She will always be special to me. I love my mom more than all the stars in the universe.
One thing I love about my mom is, whenever I am sick, she always takes great care of me. That shows me that she loves me, too.
My mom teaches me how to paint wonderful paintings. When she teaches me artistic stuff like that I am very thankful. I love doing many athletic things with my mom because I like spending time with her. Our favorite sport that we like doing together is basketball. Without my mom there would be a big empty hole inside of me.
I love my mom because she has a great personailty and she really cares for me. Whoever is reading this, I hope you love your mom, too. Also, whenever you get a chance, just tap your mom on the shoulder and say, ‘‘I love you.”

Mothers
My mom is the best mom in the world! I love her with all of my heart. I have so many reasons that I love my mom. She is so special.
My mom is special because she is nice. She is nice to me and all the people I care about. She is also cool. She can turn a frown upside-down with her cool sense of humor. I love how lively and energetic she is. She is always chasing after us or playing games. My mom does a lot for me. She gives me clothes, water, shelter, warmth and, most important, love. I love my mom.
She has inspired me in so many ways that I want to grow up and be just like her. Like I said before, I love my mom with all my heart, and I hope she feels the same about me.

Thank You, Mom!
My mom and I have always been exceptionally close. Ever since I was little, there has been a strong bond between us. Sometimes I think that she knows more about me than I do. She can sense how I’m feeling after having been in the same room with me for about one second, and she always knows how to comfort me if I am feeling sad.
Sometimes, after my mom has baked me and my friends cookies, or some other thing like that, my friends tell me that I am fortunate to have a mom who is so kind to me. Usually I just smile and say, ‘‘Thanks,” but on the inside, I am always thinking about how I don’t do enough to thank her. I wanted to take this opportunity to let her know how much I love her and how thankful I am for her being there for me.

My Mother My mom is the greatest — well, to me she is. She is there for me all of the time. She loves me with all of her heart. She helps me with homework and cheerleading. My mom is in the Army so she is not with me right now. She is in Iraq fighting. But when she gets back, I know things will be the same.
