Firefighters rescue man from burning house

Published: April 23, 2006

Firefighters in Chandler rescued a man from a burning house this morning.
Battalion Chief Dan Couch says the department got a call about 10 a-m about a house fire on South Bogle Court. Firefighters found the house on fire and discovered a man in his mid-40s in an upstairs bedroom.

Couch said the man suffered severe smoke inhalation and was taken to Maricopa Medical Center in critical condition.

Couch says investigators are trying to pinpoint what caused the fire, and it may have started with food cooking on the stove.
