Sisters reunited after 7 decades

Two sisters in their late 80s have been reunited with the help of the media after 70 years apart in Wuhan, Hubei Province, last week.
One of the sisters lives in Central China’s Hubei Province, while the other is in Xinyu in East China’s Jiangxi Province, where the two were born.
The elder sister, Zhang Lianying, has gradually gone blind over the seven decades since she left her hometown for Wuhan in 1936 to escape an arranged marriage when she was 19.
Since this time, the sisters have not known each other’s whereabouts.
