Women Rescue Robbery Victims
Published: March 18, 2006
A mother and daughter attacked in a parking lot say two young women came to their rescue and pursued their attacker. William Mills is in jail with a broken leg. It’s an injury police say Mills received when he was hit by a car driven by woman who gave chase in her car.
Carmen Peet is the manager of Gene’s Seafood, the business where the mother and her 12-year-old daughter ate before they were robbed in the parking lot. Peet is proud of the two young women who got involved and chased Mills, who is charged with strong armed robbery.
The women in the car, according to Jacksonville Beach Police, do not face any charges. The two did not stick around after their deed to give their names.
