Sisters reunited after newspaper appeal
Published: February 3, 2006
Two Shropshire sisters met for the first time after one of them made a plea for help to find her family.
Charlotte Cooke, from Madeley, Telford, was fostered and adopted as a child and had not seen her natural parents for 17 years.
The 21-year-old wanted to find her family in time for her wedding next year.
After her picture was seen in the Shropshire Star, Miss Cooke’s younger sister, Shannie Beresford, 18, from Telford, came forward.
The sisters met yesterday for the first time and realised they had been searching for each other for three years.
Later, Miss Cooke met her natural mother and the three enjoyed a family reunion.
Today, their mother, Tina Hall, from Donnington, spoke of her joy at being reunited with her daughter.
