Jennifer Lopez wedding video returned

Published: December 29, 2005

Tito Moses and Steven Wortman were arrested as part of a police sting this week, for attempting to extort US$1 million from Latin crooners Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony in exchange for their 2004 wedding video.

A copy of the tape was saved on Anthony’s laptop computer, which went missing when his car was stolen in New Jersey on October 30.

Moses, a convicted murderer and Wortman a retired postal employee thought they were in line for a huge payout after being involved in weeks of negotiations with the star’s lawyers. They had also offered the video to US TV program Access Hollywood, in exchange for a large sum of money.

The New York Post reports that according to Major Case Inspector Michael Hines, the duo was stunned when undercover cops from the Major Case Squad grabbed them, “because they thought they were coming for their payday - and instead, they got the surprise of their lives.”
