Published: November 16, 2005

A Nevada mother who’s been reunited in the Philippines with her 12-year-old son after an 18-month search plans to return with the boy to the U-S.

Shante Mystery last saw her son — Jonathan — when he was 10 and disappeared with his father from Las Vegas in April 2004.

They were reunited over the weekend — two days after Philippine authorities arrested Mystery’s 68-year-old ex-husband — James Mystery — in the Philippine city of Cebu.

An FBI spokesman says James Mystery’s being held on the U-S island territory of Guam on a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

He’s sought a felony warrant issued in Nevada charging him with violating child custody rights.

Nevada Child Seekers — a Las Vegas nonprofit organization — helped locate the father and boy.

The FBI says the case was also helped by a close relationship between an FBI legal attache office in Manila and Philippine authorities.
