A MAN has spent 24 hours trapped on a Perth cliff ledge before being found and rescued.
The man apparently collapsed yesterday while walking on a track 20m from the top of the cliff near Osborne Parade in suburban Claremont, police said.
His cries for help were heard by a resident this morning who alerted authorities.
A Fire and Emergency Services Authority spokesman said 13 personnel had attended.
The man, believed to be aged 40 to 45, was strapped to a spinal board and hauled up the cliff by rope.
He was dehydrated and was taken to a Perth hospital.
“If the weather had been hotter today or colder last night, he would have been in some trouble,” the FESA spokesman said.
