20-Minute Time Lock Prevented Safe From Being Open
A day of playing at a southwest Houston gun store ended with one of four teens getting stuck in a safe, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.
Houston firefighters were called to rescue a 13-year-old from the safe at the Carter’s Country Store on South Wilcrest Drive near the Southwest Freeway at about 7 p.m. Monday.
Police said the teen and three others were playing around with the safe when the teen got locked inside of it.
The teen was stuck in the safe for about an hour.
No injuries were reported.
A representative of the store told police a 20-minute time lock prevented the safe from being open.
Two teens were released to their parents. Two other teens were taken to a juvenile detention center.
