Missing teen reunited with parents

A 13-year-old Manhasset girl who had been missing since Friday was reunited with her parents Tuesday night, police said.

Nassau County police located Kaitlyn Macedonio and brought her home to her parents James and Elizabeth Macedonio at 11:30 p.m.

Police were not releasing details on the circumstances of Kaitlyn’s disappearance or where she had been.

Kaitlyn, who suffers from depression and anxiety, had been missing since Friday when she went with her nanny to the Roosevelt Field Mall.

She was the 522nd girl between the ages of 12 and 16 to go missing this year in Nassau County, said Det. Lt. John Allen, who oversees the county’s Special Services Squad.
