Published: October 28, 2005

Four fishermen were reported in good condition after being rescued from a sinking boat hundreds of miles off California.

The Coast Guard received a signal from an emergency beacon activated by fishermen aboard the Hawaii-based boat.

Officials determined the boat’s position and sent a Coast Guard aircraft from Sacramento and the motor vessel “Cape Nelson.”

Officials arrived a little more than four hours later and rescued the fishermen.

One reported minor injuries.
