Guardian angel in town

I just want to let Lufkin’s people know that they have a guardian angel living in their town.
We left Galveston on Sept. 21 to find safety from Rita.
Myself, my husband and my two children were stuck in our car for 48 hours. We got as far as Lufkin with no gas, no food and no help in sight.
We ended up in a parking lot along with many other people when we were approached by a mother and daughter who asked us if we wanted to come to their house for safety.
At first we were skeptical but because of our three year old we decided to go. With the eye of the storm going right over Lufkin, it was a scary situation, but the family made us very comfortable.
We were very blessed that day because if it wasn’t for them we probably wouldn’t be here.
I just want to say thank you to Louis and Betty Neese and her daughter for saving us. We will never forget.
