SOS holds annual Cut-A-Thon
Published: September 26, 2005
For ten years, hairstylists have given up one of their Sundays in September to help raise money for rape prevention.
These stylists donate their time and talents, and the money customers are paying goes directly to the SOS Center in South Bend.
The event has grown from one salon location to three salons.
Ron DeWinter, owner of Hair Crafters in South Bend, says, “I really believe it’s a win-win for the community. We give our god-given talent for a good cause. It’s what we love to do, and although we’re not giving money directly, we’re doing what God gave us a great craft to do.”
