Students do Salvation Army raids, hostage taking, for charity
Published: September 23, 2005
IT is the end of an era for the Year 12 students of Glen Innes High School, 2005.
This Friday marks the final day of their thirteen-year schooling careers, and they plan to go out with a bang.
The 53 students of the grade are following in the footsteps of previous seniors of the school in combining the traditional “muck-up day” with raising funds for a chosen charity.
Year 12 have selected the Salvation Army as this years charity.
For the duration of the day, the group will transform into the “Salvation Army’s Army” and will be stopping cars, raiding shops and taking hostages, all in the name of raising funds for this worthwhile cause.
The senior students are asking the community to support them in this endeavour and encourage all to join with them in their celebrations.
So keep a look out this Friday, because Year 12 will be out in force.
