Miracle escape from oncoming train

Published: September 22, 2005

THE HUSBAND of a woman who emerged virtually unscathed after suffering an epileptic fit and falling into the path of an oncoming train, has told of her “miraculous” escape.

Frances Cassidy, 50, of Beam Way, Dagenham, was on her way to work in Barking on Monday morning when she collapsed as she waited on the platform at Dagenham East station, Rainham Road South, Dagenham.

Relieved husband Frank, 53, said: “It is an absolute miracle she survived. It is frightening to think what could have happened - she could have been killed, or maimed.”
