Radio station’s charity roof sit

Published: September 13, 2005

Radio station WBCT-FM (93.7) was able to announce some good news about its charity roof-sit to West Michigan country music fans before the Toby Keith concert at the Allegan County Fair Sunday evening.

Minutes before opening act Scotty Emerick took the stage, on-air personality Dave Conrad informed the crowd the station’s 13th annual event to help abused and neglected children had raised $384,000.

He stated the station was grateful for the contributions this year (the roof sit ended Saturday at 5 p.m.), especially considering recent high gas prices and the many efforts under way for recovery after Hurricane Katrina.
