Man reunited with family

A man from New Orleans was sent to Austin to evacuate Hurricane Katrina.
Unfortunately, Peter Colar has been separated from his wife and children since last Thursday. But thanks to the efforts of Red Cross volunteers, he’s on his way Atlanta to be reunited with them.
“The good Lord really do answer prayers. All you have to do is have faith and keep faith in him and he will answer your prayers. He really will,” Colar said.
Volunteers say they’ve been working nonstop to connect those in the Austin Convention Center with loved ones through telephone and online registries.
Volunteer Daniella Villarreal said nothing tops making that connection.
“I cannot describe what it felt like when my sister and I were yelling out ‘Peter Colar.’ He raised up his hands and we were like, ‘We found your family. You’re going to be with your wife and your children and your mother,’” she said.
