Bank Teller Tackles Would-Be Robber
Published: August 9, 2005
After an attempted holdup at a bank Monday, police said a bank teller followed the would-be crook outside and tackled him.
According to police, John Wesley Bradley, 50, entered a Capital Bank and Trust branch and handed the teller a note saying he was committing a robbery and had a gun.
Bradley left when the teller didn’t immediately respond.
That’s when the 26-year-old teller trailed him outside and tackled him in the grass after noting that he didn’t appear to be armed.
Police arrived soon after.
Bradley will be charged with attempted bank robbery, police said.
