Marjorie Haven remembers how it felt when her class ring was stolen years ago.
That’s why she made it her mission to find the rightful owner of the 1962 Flint Central High School ring recently discovered in her daughter’s Flint home.

From a neighbor, she learned the home once was owned by Wayne Whipple. She learned Wayne died in 1995 and among survivors was Strickland, his daughter.
Haven found Strickland in the phone book.
“She was amazed,” Haven said.
