Postal Workers Share $66 Million Lotto Jackpot

Published: May 28, 2005

Shirley Stephens of North Richland Hills and four postal service co-workers had been spending about 50 bucks every two weeks on lotto numbers when they struck it big and won a $66 million jackpot.

Stephens says she conjures through instinct and analysis and hit all the right numbers last Saturday.

Validation of the ticket is pending by the Texas Lottery Commission in Austin.

An attorney for the group says the five winners plan to claim the prize in two weeks.

The winning ticket was purchased with the cash-value option, which means the winners will get a lump-sum payment of about $41.4 million.
