Teen safely returned home

Published: May 27, 2005

A 13-year-old girl missing from her Sydney home for two days has been reunited with her family.

Rose Whittaker disappeared after leaving her Bondi Junction home, in Sydney’s east, to travel to her Balmain school in the inner-west on Monday morning.

She was found by police just after 10.30am (AEST) today at a housing development next to her school, police said.

Inspector Stafford from Glebe police said she was returned to her school where her mother picked her up.

“They were both in good spirits,” he said.

Police located the girl after making inquiries at her high school.
