Published: May 22, 2005

A special education teacher who enjoys hanging out at coffee shops won $75,000 and emerged as the top winner Saturday on the California Lottery’s “The Big Spin” show.

The winning was the second for Patrick Saunders of Cypress, who won $70,000 in 2002 playing the “Fantasy 5 Dream Machine.” Saunders buys his lottery tickets at Caffe Mio in San Francisco.

“I’m really grateful to be here once again and to have won more than the first time,” Saunders said.

Bart Chimienti, a computer technician from Laguna Niguel, also won $70,000 in the “Fantasy” game. Chimienti, who bought his tickets at 7-Eleven in Laguna Niguel, plans to send his parents on a trip to Italy and for himself, a vacation to Las Vegas.
