Stolen music collection returned to owners

Published: May 13, 2005

A happy ending to a sad story we told you about Tuesday night. Remember the local teenage praise dancers who had their music stolen? Well, they now have it back. Thanks to someone watching us and our sister station, UPN-21 news.

Shreveport Detective Kevin Goodwin returned the stolen goods thursday afternoon to Thomas and Mary Williams. Earlier this week, someone broke into the Williams’ apartment and stole several items, including the couple’s ir-replaceable gospel c-d collection. The Williams’, who belong to the Grant family praise dancers need this collection to practice for an upcoming appearance on BET’s “The Bobby Jones Show.”

They weren’t sure if they’d ever see their music again. The Williams say it’s not important that police haven’t yet found the thieves, they’re just thankful police found all 150 c-d’s. The Williams’ were hoping and praying the stolen gospel music would inspire someone to return the collection and it looks like their prayers were answered.
