Youngsters bring some comic relief

Published: March 18, 2005

Pupils and staff at St Saviour’s Primary School used their imagination to get dressed up for Red Nose Day.

Youngsters wore their favourite red clothes to mark Comic Relief last Friday and teachers joined in the fun by wearing wigs and an array of different outfits.

Staff gave pupils a warm welcome when they met them at the school gates in Verulam Avenue, Walthamstow, all dressed up. The school raised over £600 for Comic Relief and more cash will be coming in after head teacher Amy Hoare has a makeover from Year 6 pupils for charity.

Class 3 teacher Jo Harward said: “It was a great day and the children really enjoyed themselves.

“The kids dressed up in red and some of them had mad hair as well and staff either got dressed up in red and had mad hair or they were in fancy dress.”
