7 Rescued From House Fire
Published: February 13, 2005
A close call for fire crews who had to pull an elderly woman out of a burning home on Sunday.
Firefighters aren’t sure what caused the fire at a duplex in northeast Columbus.
Crews were able to get all seven residents out alive.
Three people had to be treated for injuries and smoke inhalation on the scene, but no one had to go to the hospital.
Firefighters believe that the fire was started by accident, and are now investigating.
Both sides of the duplex will remain evacuated until crews are sure it’s safe the families to return home.
