Owner reunited with stolen dog

Published: January 24, 2005

A woman has been reunited with her treasured pet, nine months after making an emotional appeal for its return.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier Mollie was inside a car when it was stolen on Wrenshill Road in Dudley last year.

Owner Lesley Deakin handed out 30,000 leaflets asking for help. Now police have raided a house in Dudley and identified Mollie through a microchip.

Mrs Deakin said she was thrilled to have her pet back at last and Mollie was getting used to being back home.
