Missing Greensboro Dogs Returned, Thanks To Web
Published: January 12, 2005
Two English bulldogs that escaped from their owner’s yard in December were returned to her over the weekend. A truck driver and the Internet played a role in the owner’s good fortune.
Deb Fisher said her dogs, Buster and Zoe, escaped from her Greensboro residence on Dec. 23. A truck driver found the dogs at a truck stop in Knoxville, Tenn., two days later.
The driver searched the Internet for lost English Bulldogs and found Buster and Zoe on Lassie Come Home.
On Sunday, Fisher and a friend drove to Manchester, Tenn., and picked up the dogs.
Lassie Come Home is a non-profit organization in North Carolina and has reunited nearly 300 pets with their owners since September 2000.
