Strangers returned lost notebook, debit card

Published 10 Dec. 2004

Two Tuesdays in a row, angels undercover were sent to help me out. I’ve been very busy lately, and apparently a bit flaky and forgetful, too. On Nov. 16, I left my notebook on a chair in a classroom at ICC. It had very important notes in it for an assignment that was coming due quickly. Someone was kind enough to turn it in to lost and found and I retrieved it a few days later, just in time to finish my assignment.

The following week on Nov. 23, I lost my debit card near the gas pump at an Amoco gas station. Again, a kind stranger helped me out and turned it in to the clerk so it could be returned safely to me. I don’t know who either of you are, but I’m so thankful you were a step behind me. I hope your holiday season is as blessed as I feel I am for living in a community with such helpful strangers.

Thank you.

D. T.
