Prayer saves teen after week in wrecked car

A US teenager spent eight days in her wrecked car that landed in a wooded ravine before being rescued by a member of her church who said a vision led her to the girl, a newspaper reported on Monday.
Laura Hatch, 17, was found on Sunday in the ravine in Redmond, Washington, and was taken to hospital for treatment of dehydration, a possible blood clot near her brain, broken ribs, a broken leg and facial injuries, The Seattle Times reported.
She apparently had survived without food or water, authorities said.
Sha Nohr, a fellow member of Creekside Covenant Church, a Christian congregation, found Laura along with her daughter who is friends with Hatch.
Because her daughter was upset about Laura’s disappearance, she asked her mother to pray to find her.
Nohr told the newspaper that that night, she had vivid dreams of a wooded area and felt an urge the next morning to drive to where she found Laura, whose crumpled car had fallen 45m down an embankment and was hidden in trees.
“I told her that people were looking for her and they loved her,” Nohr said.”
“And she said: ‘I think I might be late for curfew.’”
Laura had last been seen at a party on October 2.
Police said they believed she had run away and did not launch a search for her, but her parents hired a private investigator and organised searches that involved 200 volunteers.
