Men rescued from swamped boat

Two men were winched to safety after their boat was swamped by a wave off Port Albert in Victoria’s southeast today.

Rural Ambulance Service spokesman John Mullen said the men were taken to La Trobe Regional Hospital.

Paramedics winched them onto an ambulance service helicopter after their boat was hit by a wave shortly before 8am (AEST) today.
