Brewers Association Raises $32,000 for Charity
Published: October 1, 2004
The North American Brewers Association raised nearly $32,000 for charity at this year’s Mountain Brewers Beer Fest.
Checks totaling more that $31,750 dollars were presented to local and regional charities Thursday at the Frosty Gator.
The biggest chunk, $21,000, goes to the Better Business Bureau.
Checks were also presented to Bonneville County Search and Rescue and the Aid for Friends of Pocatello.
Te NABA says they are able to give away so much because of the generosity of the brewers.
John Stevens, treasurer, NABA, says, “All the beer that’s served is donated. If we had to pay for that beer we would basically break even. The retail value is about exactly what we give away.”
The Beer Fest has been running for 10 years.
In that time, $175,061 has been raised for charity
