It’s being called a medical miracle. A Hudson, Michigan boy diagnosed with a brain tumor comes close to death several times and then miraculously recovers.
11-year-old Dylan Shuster is all smiles now. But five years ago he was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He underwent numerous surgeries and chemotherapy, but it didn’t end there. After the initial tumor came out, doctors found about 20 smaller tumors in other parts of Dylan’s brain and along his spine.
Dylan has come close to death four times. And after Dylan’s family said good-bye for what they feared would be the last time, he miraculously recovered.
Today, doctors can’t find any signs of tumors anywhere in Dylan’s body. After Dylan’s recovery, his mother, Suzanne Shuster, emailed PAX TV with their story. She and her husband hope it will give others the strength they need to get through tough times.
After the first surgery and chemotherapy, Dylan lost his sight, speech, and ability to walk. Now, he’s regained all of those abilities, but he still needs someone to help him walk.
