Wheelchair Donated To Needy Boy
Published: August 27, 2003
Kevin Doherty (12) suffers from Cerebal Palsy. This weekend someone stole his special $3,500 wheelchair, without which he can’t leave the basement of his parents’ place nor attend therapy.
After seeing Kevin’s story on Eyewitness News Shriners Hospital promised to build a customized wheelchair free of cost and delivered a loaner to the boy’s home for use in the meantime. Kevin should receive his new chair in about a month.
The family wishes to thank all those who called in their support.
